Shaffer Entertainment Dayton branch offers the areas largest Year Round league opportunity 6-days a week. Programs kickoff in September with our 14-week Fall “Just For Fun” season as well as some of our more Championship/Traditional competitive leagues. Teams will be awarded 1st & 2nd place plaques for your accomplishments. Awards & payouts available between 6:03pm-7:33pm: SPRINGFIELD area Tuesday Sept 1st at B’Corner; DAYTON area Wednesday Sept 2nd at Miami Valley Sports Bar. If you missed your date, make arrangements to pick-up at our office: 2600 Oneida Ave Dayton, 45414 Monday-Thursday 8:00am-3:00pm. Leagues start the week of Sept. 19th. DAYTON Area Championship Season 6:57pm Tuesday Sept. 22nd at Toby’s Tavern. Leagues start the week of Sept 27th. SPRINGFIELD Area Fall Handicap Season, includes any Springfield area Remote Teams- 6:57pm Thursday Sept. 17th at DAV. Leagues start the week of Sept. 20th. SPRINGFIELD Traditional Non-Handicap Season 6:03pm Thursday Sept 24th at The Nite Owl. Leagues start the week of Sept. 27th. Remote teams outside these two areas will be sent to the bar. 2026-2027 FALL SEASON UPDATE
The 2026-2027 league rated players are posted along with any qualified 2026 Summer league stats. These are an overall “average” of your league performance last season. Once again, we deleted almost 200 players where the captain typed in only first names. If you were listed on a team, in example Randy A ThurW7, sadly you were deleted with no league rating recorded. We also deleted some players we’ve not seen for awhile. We can still find you in the event life leads you back to us. We will provide an update for some new summer league players and take ratings into consideration for any X or G marked players towards the end of August. Players with an X (may indicate in-active status) or G (insufficient number of games to be rated) please review the Captain’s Guide on page #2: D. PLAYERS 4 & 5. It’s about Darts & Having Fun! 2026-2027 CAPTAIN’S GUIDEBOOK
The 2026-2027 Captain’s Guidebook will be updated in just a few days. No major changes, slight modifications to “no practicing” on another board once the match has begun to include throwing another league (aka Remote) or in tournaments, just to be clear. It is implied that teams will utilize these guidelines set forth to ensure league play go as smoothly as possible. Many times, a situation arises it’s due to lack of understanding league policies or using a rule out of context from which it was written. Knowledge of these procedures, common sense, and good sportsmanship will allow all of us to throw darts and have fun if the situation is explicitly un-answered within the guidelines. We play darts for the social aspects of the game. Have fun and enjoy your league night.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
Inclement weather may be the reason to postpone. No team is expected to play when multiple weather alerts have broadcast warnings declaring various conditions that are unsuitable for driving. Shaffer does not cancel matches. Mutual consent is not necessary for a postponement however, requesting team must contact the other captain, immediately notify the league office with the make-up date. In the past, if the majority of teams in a league do not play due to hazardus weather, we will extend the season- that decision will be determined the next day, not the day of.
